Washington’s economy added 20,800 jobs in 2014, unemployment dips

It wasn’t quite the year of recovery many were anticipating for the Washington economy in 2014. Still, there were signs of progress.All told, the Washington region added 20,800 jobs last year, according to new figures released Wednesday by the Labor Department. It marks a slight improvement over the roughly 16,000 workers added to payrolls in 2013 but still well off the pace from the first three years of the recovery, in which local employers added upwards of 30,000 employees every year.Read full article >>
